Cut the same night, built for the feed. Vertical, loud, and short enough that people actually watch to the end. Tap it for sound.

Latest reel Vertical, cut for the feed Watch on Instagram →

Every game you play becomes something worth posting. Shot at the rink, edited the same evening, out while people are still talking about it.

Reels come from every game we cover, delivered inside 72 hours with captions and sized for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Your players get tagged, your program gets the reach, and the account keeps moving instead of going quiet between shoots.

The feed is what builds, not any one clip. Covering game after game gives a program something families, recruits and scouts keep checking, and a following that grows across the year instead of spiking once and flattening.

Photo content for social

Photos from the game, turned into posts. Game day, goal and quote cards in your colours, with your sponsor on every one.

The stills from the game become the posts between games. Every shoot comes with photos, and every photo can become a card that looks like it came from a pro team’s account, because the template is built once in your colours and reused all season.

Game day posters go out the morning of. Goal cards go out while the crowd is still cheering. Final scores, player of the game and quote cards fill the days in between, so the feed never goes quiet and your sponsor gets seen on every one of them.

Built for the sponsor, not just the fans. A presenting partner logo sits on every card in the same spot, which is the easiest sponsorship in hockey to sell and the easiest to prove.

Home games, live

Live broadcast

Your home games streamed live, produced like a broadcast. A real scorebug in your colours, lower thirds on goals, and the full game archived on your YouTube channel afterwards, so families, alumni and scouts can watch from anywhere.

The stream feeds whatever platform your league uses, and the same cameras cut the reels and photos for the feed. One shoot, everything covered. Nothing gets installed at the rink. We bring the rig in and out each game.

Built for programs that want a season of games on the record, from a single camera with graphics through to three cameras with live switching and play-by-play.

2OT

Why a phone from the stands isn't enough.

Keep it

For the future

Ask anyone who played growing up. Most would pay thousands today for real video of those years. You can't go back and film it later.

Send it

To a coach

Junior and prep coaches ask for video before they ask for a conversation. A ninety-second cut with the number on screen answers the question before it's asked.

Post it

To the feed

Three reels your player will actually want on their page, and that teammates, billets and the team account can share.

3OT

Three ways to film a game.

Only one of them puts a camera on your player for every shift and hands you the edit. Here's how they stack up.

4OT

Who we work with

The footage gets better the longer we know your team, and a following builds when the account gets fed every week. What coverage looks like depends on who the footage is for.

Now

Built by hockey players, for hockey families.

Hockey Puck Media is a Vancouver video company founded by Drew Tkatchuk, who has played since he was five and is still on the ice every week. Ten years of making video for the game, a crew that knows what a good shift looks like, and one camera on your player every time. You watch the game; we’ve got the rest.

FINAL

Common questions

Do you need permission from the rink or the league?

Usually the program arranges it, and most rinks are fine with it once they know who's shooting and why. If your league has a media policy, send it over and we'll work inside it. Better to sort that out before the game than get turned away at the door.

What about filming minors?

We follow whatever consent process your program already uses. Most clubs collect a media waiver at registration. If a family opts out, tell us which number and that player stays out of anything published. Nothing goes public without the program signing off first.

Who owns the footage?

Both of us. You get the full game file and every edit, yours to keep and use however you want, for as long as you want. We keep a copy as well and use short clips from it in our own portfolio and social posts.

How fast does everything come back?

Social cuts inside 72 hours of the game, because they're worth the most while it's still fresh. The full game file follows within a few days. If a deadline is tight, like a showcase or a submission cutoff, say so up front and we'll work to it.

What happens if a game is cancelled?

It moves to another date that works for both of us, no charge. Cancellations are part of the sport.

Can you shoot away games and tournaments?

Yes, anywhere in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Further out is possible with travel worked into the quote, so long as you give us enough notice to plan around it.

What gear do you use, and where do you shoot from?

Broadcast-style angles, set up wherever the rink allows. We stay out of the way of players, officials and families. You shouldn't notice we're there.

We already work with someone. Is that a problem?

No. Some programs bring us in alongside what they already have, to cover games their current setup cannot reach or to add a format they don't produce. Others start that way and move the rest of the season across later. Both are normal, so it's worth talking before your schedule locks in.

Let's film a game

Send your next home date and what you're after. We'll come back with availability and a quote.

Goes straight to Drew, usually a reply the same day. What you send is used to answer your enquiry and nothing else.
